Releasing the fascia helps to smooth skin...all over the body.
However, the trend of "blasting" away your fascia is not recommended...by me, anyway.
Why?
Because fascia helps hold things together.
When you get rid of it, well, droop, sag and laxity occur.
Yes, you can reduce cellulite lumps and bumps because you're removing the connective tissue that "scrunches" your skin and cells creating that lumpy look. But unfortunately, you're also removing what hold things up.
And as we age, we really don't want to reduce anything that helps hold things up!
Gently releasing the fascia is a better way to go and honestly, the best
el-cheapo tool is this. I use it almost daily and this is the first time in years I actually don't cringe when I look at my arms.
I do weekly weights and Pilates and still this is the one thing that makes my skin smoother (albeit temporary), it works, and that's all I need to know.
