I don't know about you, but the thing that makes me look the most tired is my red, dehydrated eyes when I don't get enough sleep.
I can rev up my skin and do some firming to help my face look better and more rested, but my eyes still tell the tale...
Here are my favorite ways to help wake up my eyes and make them sparkle (a little bit) and get rid of "tired eyes":
1. Warm and cold compress - I take a washcloth and put very warm (almost hot) water, wring it out and apply it to my face, pressing in they upper/lower eyes.
This will help to decrease any sinus fluid build up and bring an immediate flush to my skin. Then I take very cold water and give my face a few splashes.
Pat almost dry and then apply a firming serum mixed with some oil. After I pat this in, my skin looks alive and nice and dewy.
2. Microcurrent is great to help stimulate blood flow and help firm/tone and wake up the eyes. Even if I only have two minutes, I do a quick microcurrent around my eyes and this will quickly help decrease redness and help make my eyes look whiter.
3. Massage - Do a quick lymph massage around your eye area. This helps to drain any fluid build up and stimulate blood flow. Be very gentle and use the pads of your fingers.
4. Brighten - apply a neutralizing concealer in a pink/peach or yellow tone to the dark areas of your eye, inner corners. Pat in and then apply your regular concealer or foundation over it. By adding the lighter neutralizing color under your concealer, you will effect a "backlight" for your makeup and help the area look more illuminated (without looking strange).
