I've had forehead wrinkles since I was in my 20s.
I have what dermatologists call "an expressive forehead." I unconsciously raise my eyebrows and create lines almost continuously. I tend to furrow my brow when reading or working on the computer.
I don't even know I'm doing it.
I don't really like Botox so I always prefer to find natural alternatives that soften my lines, making them far less visible; less deeply etched.
What works best?
I often use wrinkles patches at night. They used to be brown squares of sticky paper called Frownies (I guess they still are), but now "Smoothies" are my go-to choice as they are clear, thin slivers of silicone/plastic (?) and I can wear them at night and my husband doesn't even know!
Wearing these over a serum (like the CAVI PLLA) is what I've found works really well. I put the CAVI on, let it sink in and after a minutes pop on the patch and let it all percolate over night. In the morning, my lines are far less deep and my forehead is pretty smooth (until I start emoting again!).
The very best eradicator is of course a Botox-like injection, but since I emote, it makes me feel like a frozen Frankenstein-face. No thanks.
Second best is truly the Sculplla facial mask. If you can get this (and you have lines), it really does work well. Follow up with CAVI PLLA at home, and you'll see great results.
If you don't or can't get the mask treatment, you can alternate this system, which I've found works quite well.
For example, starting on Monday:
1. Night ONE: Glycolic peel (or some type of deep exfoliation). After the peel, pat on some oil and nothing else.
2. Night TWO: CAVI PLLA or a good wrinkle-busting serum (peptides, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C are all good ingredients). Use your wrinkle patch over this.
3. Night THREE: If you skin is sensitive, just use the oil. Nothing else. If not, you can go to the retinol/retionoid. No patch; nothing else.
4. Night FOUR: Oil or a gentle serum + patch. With oil, the patch may not stick well!
5. Night FIVE: CAVI PLLA or serum + patch
6. Night SIX: Retinol - no patch
7. Night SEVEN: CAVI PLLA or serum
On Monday, rinse and repeat! Do this regimen for a full month and you will see good results!
