Ok, so you don't want to worry about it today. The cookies are still plentiful, the wine is mulled and delish, but...pretty soon you'll look down and see that familiar bulge and think "Uh Oh."
After a year of sampling a bit of this and a helping of that, I'm still as perplexed as many to what really works (especially for the over-40 women who's metabolisms seem kaput). However, I do have these tips to share:
1-- Following JJ VIRGIN I gave up the 7 deadly: corn, gluten, dairy, soy, eggs, peanuts, sugar. I HATED IT. I finally took back dairy and bit of sugar and honestly I can say the bloated tummy did go bye-bye. I think I'm going to stick to no gluten, eggs, soy and try minimal peanuts (I like them!). Try it for a week or two to truly get rid of the gut bloat.
2-- I've done ZUMBA, TABATA, BREATHLESS BODY, Jillian Michaels
and more. The bottom-line, the Tabata and Breathless Body will get you sweating and you can work out for less time for the same effect of a long one-hour dvd (hate more than 30 minutes!). You can get a great workout in with those high-impact, shorter workouts
3-- Saw a fitness guy on Doc Oz and have followed the "eat protein within 30 minutes of waking" tip. Really a good one. I used to eat a piece of toast with my coffee about an hour after getting up, but this one tip is helping (I think!) :)
