WHAT IS MANDELIC ACID?

A little about acids and why I love them:

Years ago, I got a diamond microdermabrasion treatment. We're going back several years as these were the "hot new thing."
 

I got a fairly severe abrasion on my face from it (due to operator error or just the system). It look a week of dedicated Vitamin K to heal it. I have more or less avoided these treatments since and switched to using acids.
 

Admittedly, they have improved over the years, however one thing remains: They can cause teeny, weeny micro-tears in the skin.
 

These can lead to larger issues...like lines and wrinkles.
 

I (and many Estys) have turned to other exfoliators instead. Acid is my favorite!
